Upload Documents

The Upload feature allows you to upload files, such as photos or documents, associated with your open claim for examiners and specialists to view.

You can browse for and select up to 10 files or photos from your PC or mobile device.

Uploading files

  1. From the Claim page, select the Documents tab and click Upload. Alternatively, click Upload Documents wherever the option exists in mySedgwick. The Upload Documents window opens.
  2. Click Add Files. Your device’s file selector opens.
  3. Locate and select documents or images to be uploaded from your PC or mobile device.

Warning: Do not upload password-protected documents. Sedgwick will not be able to open them.

  1. Files to be uploaded will display below the Upload button. If desired, click Add Files again to select additional files (up to 10). To remove files from the list, click Dismiss button.
  2. Click Upload.

The Status of each file is shown. Files that cannot be successfully uploaded display the reason for the error.

The Upload button is only available when one or more files have been added and are visible in the list without any validation errors. The Add Files button is disabled once you click Upload and while the file status is still Processing.

A green confirmation message displays when your files are successfully uploaded, informing you that the documents you uploaded will be available from the Claim page’s Documents tab once they have been processed.

Note: It can take up to 24 hours before documents you upload are displayed on this page.

Grouped Files

Uploaded files of similar types may be automatically bundled into consolidated .pdf files when uploaded together and this feature is enabled. When uploaded at the same time, files are combined and displayed in the Upload documents section as one .pdf file.

This feature applies as follows:

  • Multiple .pdf and/or .msg files are combined into a single .pdf file.
  • Multiple image files (.jpg, .jpeg, .heic, .heics, .heif, .heifs) are merged into a single .pdf file.

.Pdf and .msg files are not bundled with image files; each group is processed separately.

All other file types ( .doc, .docx, .gif, .png, .tif, and .rtf) remain unbundled and are saved individually.

Validations
