Account Settings
From the Account settings page, you can change your password and specify the manner in which you will be contacted about your claim or sent a two-factor authentication code to log in (if available).
You can access this page by clicking Account Settings in the left-hand navigation menu or
at the top of the page.
The following options are available from this page; click a heading to expand the corresponding section:
To change your password:
- Click Change Password to expand the section.
- Enter your current password in the Old Password field.
- Enter your new password in the New Password and Retype New Password fields. Refer to Password Validations below for a list of password requirements.
- Click Save to save your changes or click Cancel to exit out of the change password process.
Note: Passwords are hidden as you type. To display your passwords, select Show Passwords.
A confirmation message informs you when your password is successfully changed.
Password Validations
- The passwords entered in the New Password and Retype New Password fields must match.
- The new password can not be the same as your username.
- The new password must include at least:
- One letter and one number
- One upper case letter
- One of the following special characters: @ # $ % ^ & + = !
- The new password must be different from the current password.
- The password must be between eight and 16 characters in length.
- You can not reuse your current password, any of the previous 12 passwords, or one used within the last 90 days.
Passwords expire every ninety (90) days.
We would like to send you electronic status updates regarding your claim, including payments (if applicable) and receipt of substantiating documentation, so that you will have this information as quickly as it is available. This feature allows you to choose whether or not to receive these notifications and select the methods by which you prefer to be contacted about your claim.
This feature is not available if you are represented by an attorney for your claim.
To modify your notification preferences:
- Click Change Notification Preferences to expand the section.
- Select your preferred language (English or Spanish).
- Select a slider beside Email, Text/SMS, or both to receive communications related to your claim by that method. The slider displays a check mark when an option is selected and a dash when unselected.
- Additional fields are displayed for each selected method. Update the email address (and confirm it) and your text message number as needed.
- Click Save.
To receive notification by text message, the phone number specified must be capable of receiving SMS text messages. You cannot enter a landline phone number.
Note: If you opt out of both options, you may still be contacted by telephone or mail when appropriate.
This feature allows you to specify the email and/or cell number used to validate your login as part of two-factor authentication. You may select multiple methods to receive the codes.
New contact options you add here will be available for selection when you log in and generate an authorization code.
To change your authentication preferences:
- Click Change Multifactor Authentication to expand the section.
- Click a slider beside Email, Text/SMS, or both to turn on or off each communication method. The slider displays a check mark when an option is selected and a dash when unselected.
- If you are adding a new email or phone number, additional fields are displayed for each selected method. Enter your email address (and confirm it) or your text message number as needed.
If you are updating an existing email or phone number, it is displayed beside the communication option; click Edit to update the email address (and confirm it) or your text message number as needed.
- Click Save. The Enter Verification Code window opens, and you will receive a verification code by your preferred contact method.
- Enter the verification code and click Submit.
If you enter a blank or invalid code, a Resend button appears for you to receive another code. If you enter an invalid code three times, a Technical Support window opens, providing a number for requesting assistance.
Note: If you have requested multiple verification codes, you must enter the one with the newest creation date and time.
